Following the announcement of a $100 million USD in eSports prize money, it’s been reported that Epic Games’ Fortnite has made $296 million USD in revenue during the April month. Despite being free-to-play, a lot of the game’s revenue comes from its numerous cosmetic options, which includes outfits, item skins and emotes that are inspired or are based on viral content.
The title also offers a tiered rewards system called Battlepass full of unlockable content, some that are exclusive to the service. It’s speculated that number is likely to rise moving forward in the year. Epic Games already announced that Fortnite would be coming to Android this summer.Click here to view full gallery at HYPEBEAST
