Gorillaz have officially announced their newest album, Cracker Island.Set to release on February 24, 2023, the upcoming record will include a total of 10 tracks featuring Thundercat on the opener "Cracker Island," Stevie Nicks on "Oil," Adeleye Omotayo on "Silent Running," Tame Impala and Bootie Brown on "New Gold," Bad Bunny on "Tormenta" and Beck on the closer "Possession Island." To celebrate the announcement of the album, the band released "New Gold" with Tame Impala and Bootie Brown as the project’s latest single.In a previous press release, it was revealed that Murdoc, Noodle, Russel and 2D have relocated to Silverlake, California where they supposedly found out that “the one truth to fix the world is to invite fans to join The Last Cult” — led by Murdoc as the self-appointed Great Leader. “It’s nice to be back, I’m well into our new tune, it brings back weird and scary memories of stuff that hasn’t happened yet,” 2D said.Stream Gorillaz, Tame Impala and Bootie Brown’s "New Gold" above.
