Anyone who’s ever been to a conceptual art exhibit or discovered the art form for the first time could find it particularly bewildering. One example of conceptual art is Shia LaBeouf wearing a paper bag over his head at the Berlin Film Festival back in 2014.
In a new short film, rockstar comedians Will Ferrell and Joel McHale encounter conceptual art for the first time at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, California. As they tour the Hammer’s "Stories of Almost Everyone" exhibit, the duo critique a slew of everyday objects placed throughout the space. From a pile of sneakers to a self-closing piano, Ferrell and McHale relay their honest and hilarious thoughts for each piece they encounter.
Watch the short film above and let us know your thoughts. “Stories of Almost Everyone" features the works of thirty international artists, it’s essentially “an exhibition about the willingness to believe the stories that are conveyed by works of contemporary art,” the museum said in a statement.
